Product Release | 11.11.19

Ta-da! It's time for a new product release here at Flock, and we are thrilled to share with you some fantastic features now taking the spotlight on our HRIS and Benefits Administration modules. We've got a few extra goodies for our broker partners too, so please, sit back, relax, and read on to find out more about how Flock's new features are going to make your life easier.

Note: These feature updates will be live on the Flock App starting 11/11/2019.

The All-New Benefits Dashboard for HR Admins!

We are pleased to introduce benefit dashboards in our Reports section. These dashboards render useful charts and metrics for both current and open enrollment periods. Admins now have immediate access to important information like annual benefits costs, employee participation percentages, returning and new enrollments, and much more. Be sure to check this out!

Note: Dashboards will display depending on whether the current year or OE is active.

Enhancements to Benefits Enrollment Flow and Admin approval process

The final "Review & Submit" section in our Benefits Enrollment flow now explicitly emphasizes any changes employees have made to their benefits. While verifying their updated benefits during open enrollment or life event enrollment, employees can now clearly see their changes highlighted in yellow boxes below each plan section. When the admin reviews and approves the updated enrollment, the changes are highlighted in the same fashion.

There is a new approval process for EOI pending amounts. With this feature update, brokers and admins now have the ability to edit/change the requested as well as approved voluntary life amounts for employees.

New HR Admin/Employer Onboarding Guide

Perhaps you've just enabled a new module within Flock. Perhaps it's your first day on the job as a new HR admin, and you've just logged into Flock for the first time. Either way, we've now made exploring the platform an even more friendly and self-guided experience. When accessing a new area of Flock, some helpful hints concerning the use of that section will appear for your perusal. These tips will remain out of sight for our veteran admins, tucked away in the information icon now visible in each section.

These guideposts remain visible for thirty days but can be closed at any time. The tips can be easily consulted again by clicking on the "i" icon.

Additional Administrative Permissions for Onboarding and Benefits

Separation of administrative duties is important in today’s workplace, especially as your organization grows. So is privacy. With this release, you can now create custom roles that can be tailored to the level of access you desire. For example you can give your new admin the ability to set up onboarding checklists, build e-signature templates, and assign tasks, while not granting them access to the full suite of admin privileges.

You can do this under your “Settings-> Roles” section. All you need to do is to enable the appropriate administration section/sub-section by setting it to “Can Access”.

Flock Email Template Enhancements

As part of our commitment to keeping the user experience fresh and modern, we have made an update to the overall design of our product notification emails. We have also made some neat updates to our benefits enrollment emails and weekly admin update email. There are more changes coming in future updates. Stay tuned for more and we look forward to your feedback!

1. Pre-defined Report for Pending EOIs

2. OE Reporting For Multiple Past Enrollments

The open enrollment election report now has the ability to specify the month for which the OE needs to be run. So you don’t need to worry if you have multiple enrollments in the year, you can always go back and pull the report.

3. OE Reporting based on Plan Type

The Open Enrollment Census Report now shows you the information for employees enrolled on a per plan basis. See below product screenshot for your reference:
