Before - Epix Healthcare implemented Flock

Epix Healthcare is growing rapidly through mergers/acquisitions and a platform that can accommodate that kind of growth is key. It needs to be flexible, scalable, cost-effective and efficient. That platform was not in place with Epix prior to implementing Flock.

A large part of the organization was using a PEO and the other had a mix of outsourced HR functions including an accountant processing payroll, an online portal with some HR functionality, and paper based Benefits enrollment.

As an organization that focuses on partnering with facilities for optimal clinical outsourcing for key services, Epix often competes for the privilege. When we are successful in gaining a new partner facility, our goal is to retain the employees currently in that facility.

A professional, efficient onboarding experience is essential to presenting a good face for the company in those situations. Many employees who might come to us have had a variety of experiences in small shops with minimal people tools in place, compared to national players in our space who have a comprehensive approach to the management of people functions. That “spotty” experience means our employees have both low and high expectations in those circumstances, our goal is to shatter them with an exceptional employee experience.

After - Epix Healthcare implemented Flock

Epix achieved a unified HR and Benefits Administration platform. Flock has provided a solid platform for messaging employees, extending employment offers and agreements, and digital onboarding of employees, ensuring we capture appropriate employee acknowledgments and facilitate Benefits enrollment. Epix was able to bring all HR functions in-house and Flock was a key piece in that in-sourcing puzzle. The payroll integration was helpful as well. Open enrollment, carrier billing and life event management has been a plus in partnership with our insurance broker.


Flock provided a unified, digital HR and Benefits platform which helped the Epix team align HR processes as our organizational needs. Flock’s team was able to customize the platform as per our needs very quickly. Flock’s design team has been creative in using our feedback to drive additional product enhancements. The support team is very responsive and seeks to resolve issues timely. Excited to see where Flock is going and what it’ll do in the future.
